UCamChat respects intellectual property rights and the privacy of everyone, including people who have never used the Service. This page explains how to report copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and how to request the removal of intimate images or other content shared without consent.

Draft notice: replace every [bracketed] item and have this page reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publishing. If you operate in the United States, register a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.

How UCamChat works, and why that matters

UCamChat is a live, one-on-one video chat. [State whether chats are recorded or stored by UCamChat. If they are not, explain that live chats are not stored by the Service, so most removal requests will concern content on this website, such as text and images, or content shared elsewhere.] Recording another user without their consent is forbidden by our Terms of Service.

If you believe that material on ucamchat.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
  3. the URL or a precise description of where the material appears on our website;
  4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.

Send notices to our designated agent:

  • Designated agent: John
  • Email: contact@ucamchat.com

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages.

Counter-notices

If material you posted was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which UCamChat may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

We may restore the material if the person who filed the original notice does not tell us, within 10 to 14 business days, that they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We may suspend or permanently remove users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.

If someone recorded you on UCamChat without your consent, or is sharing intimate images of you anywhere, we want to help:

  • Report it to us at [safety email] with as much detail as you can: when the chat happened, any usernames or links and screenshots of any threats.
  • Do not pay anyone who threatens to share images of you.
  • Report the content to the website or platform where it appears. Most platforms have dedicated forms for intimate images shared without consent.
  • Consider using StopNCII.org, a free tool that helps stop intimate images from being shared on participating platforms without the images ever leaving your device.
  • If you are threatened or blackmailed, report it to your local police.

We act quickly on reports involving our Service and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

Content involving minors

If you find any content involving a person under 18 connected to UCamChat, report it to us immediately at [safety email]. We remove it, preserve evidence as the law requires and report it to the relevant authorities. You can also report child sexual abuse material directly to [your national hotline, for example the NCMEC CyberTipline in the United States or the Internet Watch Foundation in the United Kingdom].

Other removal requests

To ask us to remove or correct other content on this website, such as text in a review that you believe is inaccurate, contact us through our contact page and choose “Copyright or content removal”. Tell us exactly which page and which text you mean and why it should change. We review every request and update content that is inaccurate.

What happens after you send a notice

When we receive a complete notice, we review it, remove or disable access to the material if it appears to infringe and, where we can, tell the person who posted it. If they send a valid counter-notice, we forward it to you. If you don’t tell us within 10 to 14 business days that you have filed a court action, we may restore the material. We keep records of notices and counter-notices as the law requires.

Before you send a notice

Please check that the material is not already licensed or allowed by law, for example as a short quotation in a review. Reviews on this site discuss other platforms and mention their names, which is not in itself an infringement of their rights. If you believe a review contains a factual error, our process for other removal requests is the quickest way to get it corrected.

Trademarks

Platform names mentioned on UCamChat belong to their owners and are used only to identify and review those services. If you believe your trademark is being used in a way that causes confusion, contact us with details of the trademark, where it appears and why you believe it is being misused.

Requests from law enforcement

Law enforcement agencies can contact us at [law enforcement email]. We respond to valid legal requests in line with applicable law and our Privacy Policy, and we prioritise requests involving a risk to life or to minors.

Response times

We aim to acknowledge removal requests within 7. Reports involving minors, threats or intimate images are treated as urgent.
