UCamChat is a random video chat for adults. Every chat is one-on-one between a man and a woman, and many chats are flirty. Some become adult, because nudity is not prohibited between two users who both want it. These guidelines explain the rules that make that work. They are part of our Terms of Service, and breaking them can lead to permanent removal from UCamChat.

Everything on UCamChat starts with consent. Before anything adult happens, both people must clearly want it. Consent:

  • is specific: agreeing to flirt is not agreeing to nudity;
  • is ongoing: either person can change their mind at any moment;
  • must be respected immediately: when someone says no or wants to stop, stop;
  • can’t be pressured: persuading, guilt-tripping, bargaining or threatening is never consent.

If someone ignores your boundaries, end the chat with Next and report it.

Adults only, no exceptions

You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use UCamChat. Nobody under 18 may use the Service or appear on camera, even in the background.

We have zero tolerance for anything involving minors. If you meet someone who appears to be under 18, end the chat immediately and report it to [safety email] or through our contact page. Any content involving minors is reported to the relevant authorities.

What is never allowed

Whatever two users agree, these things are always forbidden:

  • anyone under 18, under any circumstances;
  • recording, screenshotting, saving or sharing another user’s video, audio or messages without their consent;
  • showing sexual content to someone who has not agreed to see it;
  • harassment, hate speech, threats or intimidation;
  • blackmail and sextortion, including threats to share images;
  • violence, self-harm content or encouraging others to harm themselves;
  • illegal content or activity of any kind;
  • impersonating someone else or lying about your age or gender;
  • advertising, selling, soliciting payment or offering paid services;
  • spam, scams and requests for money, gifts or financial information;
  • bots, pre-recorded video or fake streams;
  • sharing other people’s personal information.

Respectful chat

Good chats come from treating people the way you would want to be treated:

  • Say hello. A friendly opener gets better results than silence.
  • Keep your camera on yourself. Don’t point it at the ceiling or cover it if you want a real conversation.
  • Respect the Next button. People skip for all kinds of reasons. Never chase or abuse someone who leaves.
  • Respect differences. You will meet people from many countries and cultures. Curiosity is welcome and insults are not.
  • Use translation kindly. Translations aren’t perfect. Assume good intentions when something reads oddly.

Protecting your privacy

UCamChat is designed so that you don’t need an account to start, but your own habits matter most:

  • Keep your full name, address, workplace, phone number and social media private.
  • Check your background before you start. Mail, photos, documents and windows can reveal a lot.
  • Remember that anyone can record their own screen on any device. Only show what you would be comfortable with if it were seen elsewhere.
  • Consider keeping your face out of frame during adult chats if you prefer not to be recognisable.
  • Don’t click links from strangers or move to another app because someone insists.

Scams and sextortion

Some people use chat sites to scam others. Common warning signs include sad stories that end with a request for money, investment or crypto tips, requests for gift cards, insistence on moving to another app and threats to share images unless you pay.

If someone threatens to share images of you:

  1. Don’t pay. Paying rarely ends the threats.
  2. Stop responding and don’t negotiate.
  3. Save the evidence: screenshots of messages, usernames and links.
  4. Report it to us at [safety email] and to your local police.
  5. Reach out to someone you trust. You are not alone and you are not to blame.

How to report a problem

If someone breaks these guidelines:

  1. End the chat with Next.
  2. Note what happened, including the time and any details you saw.
  3. Contact us at contact@ucamchat.com or use our contact page and choose “Safety report”.

We review reports and take action, which can include warnings, feature restrictions, permanent removal and reports to law enforcement.

Your wellbeing

Random chat should be fun. If it stops being fun, take a break. If a chat leaves you upset, talk to someone you trust. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services.

For parents and guardians

UCamChat is an adults-only service. Our pages carry the RTA (Restricted to Adults) label, which helps parental control software recognise and block adult websites. Parental controls and device-level filters are the most effective way to keep children away from adult content. If you believe a child has accessed UCamChat, contact us at contact@ucamchat.com.

Live chat etiquette for adult conversations

Adult chats on UCamChat work best when both people feel relaxed. Talk before anything else, ask clearly what the other person is comfortable with and check in as the chat goes on. Never assume that because someone stayed in a chat, they agreed to anything more. If someone says no, accept it immediately and don’t try to change their mind. What is fine with one person may not be fine with the next, so every chat starts from zero.

Fake profiles, bots and misleading behaviour

Every chat on UCamChat should be a real person, live on camera. Pre-recorded video, looping clips, bots and accounts that exist only to push links or paid services are not allowed. If you see video that looks recorded, messages that repeat word for word or someone who immediately sends links or asks you to move to another site, end the chat and report it. These reports help us keep the Service genuine for everyone.

Changes to these guidelines

We update these guidelines as the Service and the law change. The latest version is always on this page.
